Almost two years ago, I told Money and Markets readers ... [More »]

Note from the Editor

Welcome to Money and Markets.

This week brought a pullback in precious metals with silver leading the way. A stock market rebound erased some of its recent declines. And market sectors such as energy and health care continue their comparatively strong performance.

We also saw disappointing reports on the U.S. economy: Retail sales are lukewarm, employment gains are slowing, and consumer prices continue to rise. So while economic results were not awful, they make even a modest U.S. recovery suspect.

Another key ingredient, oil prices, saw a decline some of which carried over to consumers. But price volatility continues to worry industry, investors and consumers.

And the political battle over the national debt and hitting the debt ceiling still looms large. No decisions yet, but a lot of posturing.

This scenario is why we want you to be prepared for all eventualities. And, why Weiss Research hosted an urgent briefing: America's Financial Armageddon: Survive and Prosper. If you missed it, we have a free follow up report that we think you'll find very helpful. Get your copy now!

As always, if you have a comment, we'd like to hear it. Just Tell Us!

P.S. Don't miss excerpts from Martin Weiss's new book: The Ultimate Money Guide for Bubbles, Busts, Recession and Depression.

UNCOMMON WISDOM

Why the United States Is the Worst Place to Invest
by Tony Sagami

Weiss Research

The U.S. economy grew by 1.8% in the first three months of this year. That is down from 3.1% in the last three months of 2010 and pretty clear evidence of that the U.S. economy is far from turning around. Plus, the second-quarter ...
