The rate of return on Real Estate from 2000 to 2010 in this city was an average 7.8% compounded annually while the main Canadian stock index had a return of 6.64% over the same period. The 25 year average boasts similar results. Cautioning those who are looking for a quick way to get rich, the article adds, "Real Estate has been a sound investment and should always be looked at as long term investment".
